Terms of Service.

1. What this service is

Pet Health Journal provides a hosted pet health record system with access for AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients), a web dashboard, and portable exports. The service stores the records you create and describes them back to you. That is all it promises.

2. What this service is not

No diagnosis. No treatment recommendations. No prescriptions. No emergency monitoring. Nothing here is veterinary advice. Always consult a qualified veterinarian about your pet's health, and seek urgent care in an emergency.

3. Your account and your records

You are responsible for your login credentials and for the accuracy of what you record. Records belong to your household; they are never shared with another household, including over MCP connections. You can export your records at any time, including on the free tier and after any cancellation.

4. AI-assistant access

You may connect third-party AI assistants to your account via MCP and OAuth. Those assistants are operated by their own providers under their own terms; we do not control their reasoning, retention, or pricing. Revoke access from your account settings at any time.

5. Acceptable use

Do not abuse the service, probe other households' data, or submit content you have no right to store. Automated bulk access outside the published MCP tools is not permitted.

6. Paid plans

Paid features, where offered, are billed per household under the plan terms shown at purchase. Cancelling stops paid processing and creation features; your existing records and exports remain available.

7. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including decisions made about your pet's care. Your vet — not this record — guides treatment.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
